 Every year, Papakura District Council hosts the annual Community Volunteer Awards to recognise the work volunteers do in our community.
The awards recognise the clubs, organisations and individuals that have consistently contribute to making Papakura a great place to live. They are an opportunity to recognise the valuable work that volunteers perform. While in every organisation there are a number of suitable nominees, Clubs and Organisations are allowed to nominate one person to receive an award in recognition of their outstanding volunteer contribution.
The awards acknowledge the work done by clubs, organisations and individuals in the district and the role played by the volunteers who work selflessly to make a difference. Awards are based on nominations sent in by community groups and individuals.
